Pros

Employee ownership. Except the complete lack of transparency in how it was calculated. Employee discount.

Cons

zero opportunity for growth unless someone retired. I hear the pay scale has gotten better, but when I worked there the office personnel we paid peanuts.

Better than many, far worse than it should be

Pros

Employee discount is good. Pay is okay comparatively speaking. A few paid holidays a year. Technically employee owned. Accrue stock.

Cons

All the equipment is old and falling apart. Tendency to keep people as temps for a long time before hiring them. Management is unresponsive and uninterested. Though technically employee owned, there is no mechanism for employee control or input into how the company is run, so it continues to be run as the zombie of a standard corporation. Lack of opportunities to pursue advancement or even cross-training
