Pros

New leadership has a fair and accurate vision for the future of the company and is making/has made lots of necessary changes. All the changes will naturally be uncomfortable and layoffs have effected some great people. BigCommerce hires great people who by and large are easy to work with. Just got 401k matching - fantastic update.

Cons

People have been hired into positions where they were not in a position to success from the beginning and let go afterwards. Internal alignment needs improvement and attribution models are still misaligned. Still lots of areas where we are rewarding chasing after crumbs to the detriment of winning much larger cookies. Internal advancement can be slow though networking opportunities for external opportunities are high. Got great health care options.

Great work/life balance. Supportive direct management that cares about your career growth and mentoring to bring out your best potential. Teams that truly believe in team work - everyone helps out and leans on each other.

Cons

The job itself can be very stressful and demanding - it can be difficult to balance triaging client situations and making time to strategically plan.
