I don't have much experience with other corporations, however I feel many of my complaints would likely be fairly industry-standard for a similarly sized or larger company. The CEO is paid way too much, more than 3M, Target, Best Buy, etc. which is ridiculous for a company of a much smaller size. They do not negotiate salary increases for internal candidates, so negotiate for as much as you can get right away. I was placed on a performance improvement plan, and subsequently fired, by a supervisor that only became a supervisor a few months prior. My management did not speak to me about it at all unless I went out of my way to talk to them, and even then, they offered no support. My supervisor's word was 100% valid, and my perspective had no value.

High turnover from layoffs, dissolution or sale of parts of the business, and people leaving for other jobs. The result is a lack of job security and cohesion, a revolving door of managers, disorganization, and frequent change of priorities, plans, and processes. Very limited opportunity for career growth outside of the headquarters location. Lacks real transparency from the corporate level.
