Pros

Work-life balance is manageable.

Cons

Family run business with terrible management. High employee turnover with someone leaving every other week. Some of the senior managers have a sour attitude. Only come here if you don't have any other offer.

Pros

Pretty relaxed environment. Growth oriented company. The owner of the company is ambitious and has grown the company substantially in a decade and still going. Some may not know this, but the owner is open to employee ideas (open door policy) on anyway to improve and grow the business.

Cons

BioUrja is going through some growing pains. There were some management changes earlier this year and with that there were some personnel changes. There seems to be a little bit of disconnect with upper management and employees.

Pros

I have been provided every opportunity to thrive within BioUrja. Early on with BU I needed a database for my client list and the leadership team told me to get 3 quotes and make it happen and they followed through with their statement. I absolutely love the employees here at BioUrja, some of the finest professionals I have ever worked with are all over the trade floor and the support groups. Executive availability to top notch and the culture is results oriented which I find very satisfying. Also they have a ping pong table plus have occasional ping pong tournaments with prizes which is really cool and helps get my mind off work when I need to take a break from my computer screen.

Cons

There was a change in leadership within one of the trading groups this year which caused some craziness for the first half of the year within the office, but things have stabilized and everything is rolling along again. Also the company has grown somewhat substantially over the past 2-4 years through acquisitions, which has caused some growing pains but nothing major.
