Pros

All of my colleagues are great. My boss is great. Work life balance is amazing. Strong PTO.

Cons

Salary is fine, promotions are almost non-existent. Lay offs are frequent. Not sure the company is headed in a great direction.

We’re so glad to hear you’ve had a positive experience with your colleagues and leader. We work hard to foster a supportive environment where people can thrive, maintain a healthy work–life balance, and take advantage of strong PTO benefits. We understand that career growth and organizational stability are important. While experiences can vary, we’re continuously evolving our talent processes and long‑term strategy to create more opportunities and clarity for employees. Feedback like yours helps us understand where we can continue improving.

Pros

Exceptional Global Leadership: The global leadership team is one of the strongest reasons I enjoy working at Blackbaud. They are supportive, empathetic, approachable, and genuinely invested in employees’ growth and well‑being. They encourage us to speak our mind. Hybrid Work Policy: The hybrid working model is highly appreciated. It provides flexibility and helps employees maintain a healthy work–life balance. Healthy Work Culture (Globally): There is minimal to no micromanagement from global managers. Employees have the freedom to work independently, share ideas, and contribute meaningfully without unnecessary pressure.

Cons

Domestic People Management Concerns: Recently, the domestic people management team has created an environment that feels misaligned with Blackbaud’s global culture. Their approach lacks empathy, and many employees feel unheard and unsupported. New Leave Policy Issues: A new leave structure was introduced where leave balances are not provided upfront; instead, employees accrue leave month‑by‑month. This change feels restrictive and has been perceived by employees as discouraging the use of earned leaves. The reasoning provided — preventing employees from taking more leaves early in the year — feels unreasonable and dismissive of employees’ legitimate work‑life needs. Work‑from‑Home Restrictions: Although Blackbaud officially offers a hybrid arrangement, additional WFH requests are frequently denied, especially for employees outside Hyderabad. These rejections are often justified using “statutory” reasons, which do not seem to apply consistently across the organization. Global teams do not face these limitations, creating a sense of inequality and inconsistent employee experience.
