Good Company, Terrible Position

Pros

Could see the influence of philanthropy throughout the company and its mission.

Cons

This position was all about prospecting and cold-calling. Our numbers were high and our support was low. Morale was dwindling. If you can stick it out for a full year, it is a good foot in the door to a great company. But you are made very aware that your department is the bottom of the totem pole, despite it being the foundation of the business. Not good pay, either.

Decent benefits, fulfilling to be connected to and serving the non profit sector

Cons

Management makes some interesting decisions. Lots of work is being outsourced in both support and RDO. Upper management is out of touch and makes decisions without regard to retaining solid employees. No opportunity for advancement u less you work in a hub location.
