      Pros

      Blackbaud supports the nonprofit space, so the work can be very fulfilling. It is very easy to become invested in the success of the customers.

      Cons

      Pay is below market, being part of an acquired organization is incredibly painful, internal systems are kind of a mess, emphasis on hitting the numbers for investors is at odds with long-term strategic needs and future profits.

      Great PTO for tenured employees, ability to earn more PTO by volunteering, casual work environment, and fun HQ facilities

      Cons

      Not as remote friendly as most tech firms, low pay relative to neighboring cities, many understaffed teams.

      Turning sales into a call center

      Pros

      Feel good company. Benefits are good.

      Cons

      Regarding a sales role, they change territories every year so the customers get upset having a new rep all the time. They are more worried about calls made than the actual sales cycle and creating relationships with clients so it feels more like working at a call center. Compensation is much lower than other companies and they are constantly hiring so they have a person waiting in the wings to take your position. There isn't any real loyalty or transparency on the changes you will be getting to your territory each year.
