      Pros

      Great opportunity to learn about the many amazing nonprofit organizations that focus on making a difference in their communities.

      Cons

      Heavy focus on billing and utilization can sometimes put consultants in the position to make decisions and actions that are not in the best interest of the customers. Difficulty in finding solutions to technical issues can have negative impact on consultant utilization, even when the situation is out of the consultant's control.

      Pros

      Mission focused employee base, excellent work-life balance. It's a great place to work. 10+ years with the company isn't unusual at all, and I'd guess most employees see themselves staying for at least several more years. Growth opportunities are abundant in the junior level ranks.

      Cons

      Blackbaud suffers from the same challenges all market incumbents do - lack of innovation, product arrogance, irreverance for competition, etc. It's also a southern company with southern norms and cultural standards - good and bad.

      Pros

      Decent pay and benefits, LGBTQ+ friendly, community involved. They occasionally have fun days where food and drink are served or if you're lucky a meeting where they cater.

      Cons

      You have to pick your teams wisely, a manager can make or break your experience with the company. One negative review from an irate customer can also ruin your stats. Some positions are underpaid for what they are.
