Pros

Some very intelligent, friendly people work here. People in the Austin office in particular are wonderful. Benefits are okay - not great, but not bad either. Ability to get additional time off for volunteer work is a bonus.

Cons

Probably the worst management I have ever encountered, from senior executives right down the chain. A culture of blame first, ask questions later prevails. You know it's a bad sign when middle managers start fleeing the company in droves. A general sense of malaise and apathy permeates the company, and morale is horrible. I would advise anyone who is even considering working for this company to look elsewhere. If you are working for Blackbaud, know that it gets better when you leave.

Pros

Direct Managers tend to leave reports alone for the most part

Cons

Management heavy, compensation reductions across the board in 2013 disguised as bonus plan and commission plan restructuring. Now hiring college hires to handle work that is too difficult just to save more money. CRM product is flawed and went to market before it was ready.

Pros

At the end of the day, you're helping non-profits make the world a better place, every day. Endless professional growth opportunities and leadership recently implemented a simple career framework process that creates transparency around how employees are performing and what they need to do to grow into new roles, if that's what they want to do. Discussion about career goals between employees and managers is encouraged and built into the performance management process. Amazing training in Customer Support as well as completely revamped training for Pro Services and Sales new hires. Teamwork and innovation are recognized and rewarded. Total benefits package (salary, medical benefits, negotiated discounts at local businesses, onsite gym & showers, onsite cafe, option to earn additional vacation time for volunteering on your own time, tuition reimbursement, flexibility in hours as well as the option to work from home for many positions) is one of the best in Charleston. Beautiful place to work and some employees walk or run on Daniel Island during lunch or before or after work.

Cons

Still a bit "cube-farmy" in many parts of the building.
