Their approach lacks empathy, and many employees feel unheard and unsupported. New Leave Policy Issues: A new leave structure was introduced where leave balances are not provided upfront; instead, employees accrue leave month‑by‑month. This change feels restrictive and has been perceived by employees as discouraging the use of earned leaves. The reasoning provided — preventing employees from taking more leaves early in the year — feels unreasonable and dismissive of employees’ legitimate work‑life needs. Work‑from‑Home Restrictions: Although Blackbaud officially offers a hybrid arrangement, additional WFH requests are frequently denied, especially for employees outside Hyderabad. These rejections are often justified using “statutory” reasons, which do not seem to apply consistently across the organization. Global teams do not face these limitations, creating a sense of inequality and inconsistent employee experience.
