Pros

- Great coworkers - Interesting projects - Flexible work schedule Overall Blackbaud is a good company to work for. You will either meet people who are trying to get their foot in the door and stay for a year or people that have been there 20 years. You will learn a lot really quickly, which is really fun!

Cons

- Pay is under market - ambiguity on job duties - Senior leadership is not always on the same page So pay is not good, Blackbaud is based out of South Carolina so they do not pay Amazon or Microsoft money. Which I feel does hurt them with talent. They have a tendency to promote Customer Support team members which is not always good. You won't get a lot of training on the products and sometimes it can feel like trial by fire. The technology is good but it is not cutting edge. Because of lower pay we don't get the best talent. And sometimes we make it difficult for customers to be successful.

Pros

Benefits are good. Not much accountability/micromanaging. Hours are flexible. Great work-life balance. The coworkers are great. It's the management in Charleston that will screw you over.

Cons

Mismanaged on the corporate level. They also take money from anti-LGBT groups while using employees as token queer folk for PR purposes. I had a team lead from Charleston avoid working with me once she found out I was gay. Not many POC or LGBTQ people working here. Compensation is laughable--especially when compared to other companies in the same market.
