Pros

The services team works with some really great clients, and a lot of the problems are challenging and interesting. There is opportunity to travel if you want to. The pay can be good if you meet your billing targets. It's easy to work from home whenever you like.

Cons

Management is a zoo. They reorganize every few months, never with a clear purpose or direction. There is a real glass ceiling for technical folks, because upper management is always hired from outside, and they rarely have a technical background. This applies to the services team much more than the core product teams, I believe.

Pros

Employees are great. Everyone there works hard.

Cons

Management is exceptionally critical and heavy handed. Good and great employees are routinely shown the door based on politics and cost saving. Management is solely concerned with lining their own pockets. Charleston is a very small city with few amenities, The nickname "Black Heart" is well deserved.

Pros

Most co-workers are very friendly, good corporate vacation policy, location in Austin Domain, engineers with a passion to do more. The staff believes in the missions of the customers. Recruiting staff is amazing.

Cons

Poor mid-level product management leadership. Too many VPs for such a small company. poor planning process. business units compete against each other for attention for product team with vastly different demands and no common strategic direction. Old technology. Very hierarchical management style. Lack of diversity. Charleston staff is dismissive of staff in other offices. Significant amounts of redundancy and inefficiency across the company. Compensation is based on Charleston market, which isn't competitive in Austin.
