      Pros

      Some very nice people to work with. The benefits are basic with no frills and not enough choices in various areas.

      Cons

      Attorneys and staff alike feel intimidated to interact on a personal level with their peers during working hours. Professional assistants are constantly monitored from the time they arrive at the office until they leave for the day. There is a definite caste system which frowns upon attorneys and staff having any conversation other than for business reasons.

      Pros

      Good life/work balance. Good retirement benefits, 401k available, profit sharing. Technology training on a rolling basis or request lesson at your own desk.

      Cons

      Attorney workload is not equitable so some secretaries work much harder than others. Team approach does not work well for all departments, may be on a team that is not in your area of expertise. Expensive benefits.

      The firm is a good place that tries hard to care about people, while still being a business run by a bunch of lawyers in a very competitive marketplace.

      Cons

      The market segment that the firm operates in does not generate a ton of cash to throw around lavishly.
