      Pros

      Never before have I been in a professional workspace where I am accepted and respected in my skin. As a black woman in business often times there is a lot of scrutiny around things like your hair or your wardrobe, and that is not the case at Blavity. Finally after 10 years I feel like I can let my hair down and be authentically who I am. I am also enjoying the support of my team members and the type of work that I am doing within my community and for an underrepresented culture.

      Cons

      I don't know if there are any negative feelings within my place of employment other than the typical, I wish we had more people line that seems to always apply no matter the employer or team!

      Pros

      You will always feel supported here by your peers. Everyone here is aligned with the same goals, which makes you feel like you are apart of something big! From sending our audience updated info during social unrest, to thought provoking editorials, I know that we are making a true impact. Everyone here understands me and I feel like the work I do is appreciated.

      Cons

      Internal processes can be cleaned up. I have worked for major companies and I believe that to get things done there is a long drawn out process. I do believe this can be fixed and its due to the company being a start up.

Based on employee feedback, one new update that we're happy to share, is that Employees can now choose to distribute their Commuter Benefits monetary allowance towards the category of their choice across rideshare, transit, and qualified paid parking options.
