Pros

It's one of the first places I've worked at where the employees really like each other. The culture is so unique that it allows people to actually show up as their authentic selves, which is powerful

Cons

When you move into a leadership position in this organization, you get paid fairly, but that money just ends up going to a therapist because you're trying to figure out how to survive the workload. The goals that are set by Sr. Leadership are unreasonable because there aren't enough people resources to support the goal. So inevitably, you just end up burning out fast. Additionally, Sr. Leadership doesn't trust their employees or know how to manage conflict. Rather than exploring the root cause of issues, there is a fear that the conflict between employees will breakdown the company. So instead of help employees navigate through their disagreements so they can effectively collaborate, Sr. Leadership just ends up pushing out their least favorite employee so they don't have to deal with it.

Pros

Pay and benefits are decent.

Cons

This company's mission is admirable, but their execution is not. Long hours/no work-life balance, poor communication internally and externally, terrible leadership, notable turnover and a very toxic work environment. I was so excited to work here and so disappointed to see how undervalued their employees are. Their mission is centered on making black people happy and they seem to do just the opposite. I don't see this company being around anymore in the next five years.

Management is deaf to anyone who is not a partner

Pros

WFH, medical benefits match industry

Cons

Lack of transparency across division, lots of cooks in the kitchen, management is unavailable but always available for a team meeting where they are the only ones to talk. They ask for input but then do not respond (table it). If you are not a partner you have a very small voice. I was told that specifically by my manager. Under the PM umbrella you are expected to only be a firefighter, not proactive. Be a worker bee who makes no waves and you'll get...nowhere. Make waves and be blacklisted by management.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. To support the gathering of information of our current culture, the People Operations Team is implementing support systems which will allow employees to provide more frequent, detailed, and confidential feedback. The hope for the team is to better identify the potential gaps/areas of opportunity in Leadership Skills and implement a strategic Leadership Development plan.
