Pros

Reducing costs of prescription medications is a noble goal.

Cons

Management assumes you are taking advantage of the company by not working so they treat employees like children that need to constantly be watched. Working from home is extremely limited (even though I was told differently while interviewing). The expectation is you are at your desk from 9-5 where management can watch you. "Humans first" is simply a lie used to attract passionate people who want to make a difference in the world. Management then hopes that some of these peoples' passion will be enough for them to overlook the myriad of problems with the work environment and culture.

Pros

Free lunch Great mission (if they really meant it)

Cons

In the few months I have been here this company has deteriorated from an exciting new startup to a tense, disorganized, scam in freefall. I have many years of work experience and I can't believe I fell for their sales pitch hook-line-sinker, but the offer package is sweet so you think they're doing better than they actually are. They layoff people or change direction every week, for no reason. They dumped the 24-member marketing team in December, just before the holidays, and told us it was a one-off change in product strategy. But every week more good people are quietly dismissed, creating an environment of worry, distrust, and chaos. New leadership hires from Amazon have created an every-man-for-himself vibe that have erased the team mentality of employees that started this company. It may appear to look impressive on press releases, but these are all mid-range managers who aren't improving the company.

Pros

I guess "trying and failing" is better than "failing to try" - even though you never get any results anyway.

Cons

Weak management intervention resulting in toxic environment, poor conflict resolution, "management" is dished out in tactical interventions rather than in a more supportive holistic approach, inadequate job function definition, failure to learn from prior mistakes. Quick take of approaches here would be; "let's just all jump into the fire and see what happens - oh, we all got burned - well, let's all make sure the next time we all jump into the fire we don't get burned".
