      Pros

      Block pays 90% or more of employee health insurance, it has been a life saver when it comes to mental health and additional imaging. They also have excellent parental leave and resources

      Cons

      Block's pay levels have not changed in years and are becoming more exclusive. The recent pay change, 20% of employees did not get a raise. The salary raises (if you get one) are minimal, and it is much harder to level up and get a significant bump.

      Pros

      Pay is pretty good. Other than that there is no upside unless you have a safe position.

      Cons

      If you love being treated like you are expendable this is a great place. They constantly move the goalposts and gaslight you for not reaching their goals of perfection. I’ve never worked at a place where my integrity has been unjustly called into question. Square also has consistent outages so new customers beware. I’ve been threatened on multiple occasions with termination. If you keep your head down you should be okay. However compliance with their rules only makes them more and more challenging.

      - high impact challenging projects - leadership has great vision for the future - fair pay and great work life balance

      Cons

      - specific to my team, too many stakeholders that want results ASAP - quick growth adds its own challenges - stock has crashed in the last 2 years
