Pros

Amazing company benefits, stock options, great HR, lots of overtime available, great support from fellow FS, plenty of training, constant ingenuity

Cons

Changing from startup to IPO changed everything, many of the people who sacrificed so much of their lives and time were let go (though well taken care of) to transition from the old way. Again though, a great company to work for.

Pros

Bloom is persistent and resilient for REAL Fair/Open-Minded people to have REAL career path, & make REAL sustainable products. "REAL Wishful thinker", you owe it to yourself! You should buy a lottery ticket to win the big jackpot, so you no longer have to work for someone and buy yourself an island where no one dare to bother your life.

Cons

Bloom should have 401K matching and need a solid training process for new employees.

Pros

Bloom's culture is a mix of the "start-up", hustle and bustle mentality and the busy, but exciting, Silicon Valley work ethic. It is very challenging though very rewarding I feel. It is hard work but an enormous amount of progress is noticeable every day in the plant. Therefore, the amount of experience you get from working here is counted in dog years. The DE plant is only about 3 years old so almost everyone in the facility is "new" to the company. Since it still lingers in this start-up mentality, you also don't have a set role. They can, and will, ask you to do all kinds of things to help, wherever they need resources. This can be refreshing and interesting but means you have to wear a lot of hats sometimes. Also, there is a lot of opportunity for recognition and opportunities to move up. If you are good, you will quickly gain a lot of respect in this company. In addition, you interact with higher level engineers and managers a lot in this company allowing for tremendous growth on your resume. In summary, tough, hard work, and stressful but fun/fresh, rewarding, and never a dull moment.

Cons

You must be tough and resilient to work here. Since there is still the start up mentality, the environment is not as hospitable as well-developed companies. The attitude is not so much "for the employee" but "for the company's mission" much like a patriotic feeling for your country. This isn't a bad thing, just something you need to prepare for as a feeling you need to be able to share.
