Pros

free snacks, drinks, food. Excellent healthcare benefits, bike to work program, smoking cessation, philanthropy programs, entrepreneurial in values, innovative, fast-paced, everyone is connected, full transparency to everything. Promotions are quick if you are an all-star performer.

Cons

complete transparency, you need to work on the Street and then go to BBG to earn a nice salary. They work recent college grads to the bone; you're chained to the desk with golden handcuffs. need to drink the company kool-aid to make a difference and get promoted. Everything is becoming automated and tasks become mundane. No work/life balance. Always have to be connected to the terminal.

Pros

Great at the job perks. Good benefits. Lovely offices. Free Bloomberg terminal. Quality of life is high because most of the work is pretend - hit your metrics and you're fine. It's sad that's the best I can do.

Cons

No career trajectory. Caste system based on longevity. Everyone is punching the clock, don't expect anyone to work hard. Scared management that has no strategic outlook, their primer concern is appeasing their bosses. Surprising that people who have been successful other places don't have conviction to be bold.

Pros

They have the best healthcare and employee benefits, with access to some of the best resources to advance your career. The HQ building is beautiful in a prime location with nice fish tanks and tons of food, oftentimes hosting cutting edge events. The perks of being an employee are truly top notch (e.g. museums, discounts).

Cons

Can be Big Brother-ish. You have to use the ancient-looking Terminal to do conduct all business activity (somewhat of a learning curve). Lots of bureaucracy and useless middle management to "track projects and progress." Insignificant or non-existent promotions/salary increases. The fear of Tom Secunda is laughable.
