Pros

Good coworkers within the IT department.

Cons

Although I try not to notice these things, the IT department is heavily Muslim and they seem to form an 'insiders' mentality with all non-muslims treated as outsiders.

Great Access and Perspective to see the landscape of the industry.

Cons

The BCBS Association has become lazy. They are a highbred association that has not appropriately incentivized senior management. Too many stakeholders. Disinterested Board. No shareholders. Limited accountability on the part of senior management. Executive leadership is extremely political and chasing their own agendas which has led to bad behavior. Regarding FEP, OPM should force the association to compete with United and eliminate their captive market. This would help change things and ultimately improve the culture. They owe this to the US taxpayer.
