Company heading in wrong direction. Again.

Pros

Decent enough pay. Easy to find people who relate to the state of things and also need to talk about it.

Cons

No career development unless a level 1. And then the ceiling comes fast. Low morale. The company recently targeted and fired a great deal of people eligible for the annual bonus, and are backfilling with lower level hires that are not eligible nor will become eligible for the annual bonus. Seeing peers get walked out for no good reason is highly demoralizing, and then watching more peers flee the company for safer haven doesn't either help. Toxic politics are rampant, it's like Game of Thrones - Corporate Aerospace Edition, and it's detracting from actually producing results while further beating down morale. Very top heavy, especially after the recent culling and voluntary departures. A lot of managers with a couple people under them while more lower level folks get let go. (toxic politics) Things will get a lot worse before they improve. Including if the company can get to rate with production and launch the vehicles. Having low morale and low outputs is no good for anyone.

Pros

Free Drinks and Snacks Good Benefits Package Climate Controlled. If you are an unmotivated individual that does not care about performance, results, or actually being productive you will love the place.

Cons

Workload - impossible - you could work 5,000 hours a year and you would be no more productive. Support- Nonexistent Training - what training? Raises are well below most employers. Better get your money up front If you enjoy being on a winning team and are a high performer you will come to despise the place within a few months when you realize that all of your efforts are in vain.

Pros

Abundance of grounded, intelligent, and inspiring colleagues mostly all doing the best they can

Cons

Upper management mirrors US politics and mainstream media - scripted speeches, attempted manipulation of the masses, seemingly phony engagements and personas... Then somewhere up there (really seems to happen right at Bob given at least a few of the directors are really great) “not if…” just isn’t an acceptable answer. Engineering judgment and requests for what’s truly needed to accomplish the goals competently and without sacrificing the humanity of their workforce are ignored or overriden, which leads to no or improper information flowing up, compromised outcomes or unrealistic and missed deadlines with overworked staff, and not surprisingly then, high attrition and brain drain amidst rapidly growing programs without fully documented engineering or processes which only makes things even more challenging for those left.
