Building a road to space with DEI and fairy dust
Pros
Some of the smartest and best folks I've ever been around. Pretty good benefits and above average pay.
Cons
When the previous CEO was there, he built a martini glass shaped org structure loaded with dead weight middle management positions and a good old boy network of retread vice presidents. It is almost impossible to explain the painful journey of trying to transition from development to production, they hired hundreds of production analysts-project managers -planners and quality people. This made everything slow to a crawl for almost 4 years. The same time frame they lowered the hiring bar, implimented DEI policies and changed the priority of work to value how you do something rather than what you do. This enabled a culture of buzzwords and brownnosers that didn't care about producing anything as long as they collected a paycheck. The new CEO has the task of cleaning up the mess, cutting heads and salaries while still keeping the company killing DEI policies.
