Pros

The staff of BRCTC are friendly and kind. They are also supportive and often seeking to help new instructors find an easy time transitioning to the environment.

Cons

Low chance of being hired full time.

Pros

Personal office space and desk, public employee benefits vision, dental, hearing, and general health insurance, giving back to the community, helping make your community better in education.

Cons

lack of compensation, management abuses position for cheap labor, lack of voice, Goals are set incredibly high, performance evaluations are nearly impossible to reach exceeding expectations status without working for free and performing off the company time (this is actually how my supervisor ended up in his position he worked so hard even saw him working for free off the clock just to meet and exceed management and supervisor's expectations.).

Pros

The only pro that I can think of is the benefit package and vacation package.

Cons

Metaphorically the college is ran by a mafia. Every staff member has relation to another person, who brought them in. The environment is controlled by individuals who are in a relationship, family, or friends, which makes it hard to communicate issues you may have there. I vocalized some of my issues but management refused to make any changes. Management is afraid of training employees and will not provide proper education resources. The turnover rate at this institution is indescribable. There are a handful of individuals who actually care.
