Pros

Flexible scheduling – you largely set your own hours. As long as you perform well and act with integrity, management takes a hands-off approach. The company is not very transparent about its overall performance and health. There’s a strong resistance to streamlining processes. Leadership promotes an "entrepreneurial" culture, but this often creates an environment where account managers and recruiters act selfishly, foster toxicity, and lack transparency. Internally, it can sometimes feel like dealing with used car salesmen. Lots of technology, but not enough invested in the technology that is useful. Would recommend to a friend - DEPENDING ON THAT FRIEND'S PERSONALITY. I, personally, have a great boss & manager.

Cons

Most managers are primarily out for themselves and don't genuinely support their teams. Many account managers (AMs) operate unethically, often persuading recruiters to prioritize their jobs without disclosing that multiple recruiters are already working on the same role. AMs frequently dump low-quality roles onto recruiters, expecting others to do the hard work for them while they avoid the heavy lifting — all without being transparent about the roles themselves. In reality, if you want access to good roles as a recruiter, it’s more about internal politics than performance — you have to kiss butt and build personal relationships with AMs to even get a shot at decent business. Things are great if you’re billing — you get left alone. However, they make it unnecessarily difficult to bill consistently. The entire system feels like a circus, where AMs handpick who they want to work their roles, regardless of fairness or ability. New recruiters often get locked out of good opportunities and are left to fend for themselves with scraps. If you’re not tied to a team where AMs consistently bring in roles, you’re out of luck. On top of it all, the ATS is a complete mess — outdated, inefficient, and makes every part of the process more frustrating and disorganized than it needs to be.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate you recognizing some of the positives of working here — including the flexibility, autonomy, and your relationship with your manager. We’re sorry to hear about the frustrations you experienced. Recruiting is a challenging business, especially in today’s market, and it’s our responsibility to make sure our internal systems and leadership support help our team succeed. We operate a 360 model where recruiters are encouraged to build both client and candidate relationships, and we know balancing both sides of the desk can be tough. We’re actively improving that experience through stronger leadership support, better internal transparency, and major technology upgrades — including a better CRM and new AI-driven tools to help automate workload and make day-to-day work more efficient. We know we’re a work in progress, and feedback like yours pushes us to keep getting better.

Pros

- culture - leadership's ability to welcome recommendations on changes/improvements - ability to do full desk or split model of your choice

Cons

- compensation structure isn't awful but commission is pretty low if you are on the base salary model - work life balance....I mean we're in recruiting and if you're successful you probably work outside of your working hours. So while it's a con, it's industry standard and truly up to you. you work more if you want to make more money sooooo
