      Pros

      Salary and Benefits are on par. Hospice work is very fulfilling.

      Cons

      Management is not responsive or helpful. Favorite employees treated differently than others. Staff expected to work unlimited hours, often late work days. Heavy staff turnover. Admissions take several hours, required to start admissions up to one hour before end of shift. Last minute requirements to pick up shifts to cover weekends, on-call and holidays because manager forgets to get them covered. Lie to all new hires and tell you 12 patients. Most caseloads are 14-16 and up to 18 patients with admissions. Rarely have the flex help as they tell applicants to expect.

      Pros

      -Patients and families who truly need care and support -most of the staff actually care about the work they do

      Cons

      Multiple: -Required to work overtime for over a year, with no choice as to when it was assigned -continues to grow and put money into facilities without proper staffing -Lack of support from management ——was told one week I was being promoted and then two weeks later was told how awful I was at my job with examples from several months prior and that I would no longer be able to more forward in the previously offered position -New computer system launched and no support from management during transition

      Truly could not feel more fulfilled than at Bluegrass Care Navigators

      Pros

      BCN has created such an incredible work culture. They are all about work/life balance and taking care of your mental health. I always feel supported and like I can go to my supervisors with concerns at any time. I always feel listened to and respected. I cannot imagine working anywhere else.

      Cons

      Working in hospice can be very difficult (I cannot even imagine for clinical staff). It required a lot of thought out planning and routine setting to make sure that I was taking care of myself when first starting here.
