False Recruiting, inspired by fascist propaganda
Pros
Need some money to get by? Know how to read and write at a 3rd grade level in one or more languages? Willing to give up weekends and all federal holidays for the time being? Tired of seeing loved ones or your family? Then this is the job/company to keep you fed until something better comes along. Key words: keep you fed, not happy. Cause hey, they have a "fully stocked kitchen" available!
Cons
Education and experience mean nothing here. Management and "Leadership" appear more in a Mafia-esque type role than anything else. Everyone of your coworkers will most likely be a nice person, but deep inside everyone is suffering of similar pains and troubles. BP Tech. seems like the place people end up when they are completely lost. Recruiting will straight up lie to you when you ask about PTO policies, most likely the recruiter you will work with will have never even taken the time to get to know the engagement you will join in your role. On top of that, if you DO try to grow and move into a different role at BP, the recruiter will be sure to lose your application and/or provide minimal feedback throughout the entire process (to keep your current position filled). For anyone who values transparency, honesty and documentation, please stay away. This job literally made me feel like the years I spent in school were wasted. On top of that, I was denied for every single PTO request, except for one. Oh, and working Christmas Eve and Christmas day was also a great experience. We were told we'd be provided all meals that day, since we were forced into working OT. Management ordered 5 large pizzas to feed 150 people. Someone else has said this before, but: please take these negative reviews to heart. Again, it's a job. It pays some money. Please don't look at this as a career opportunity - take the job if you need the money to get by. Good luck to all of you out there.
