Pros

diverse and international team, wfh possible, interesting content, good pay for localization

Cons

It's one of those places that look normal and functional from the outside, but are in fact totally disfunctional. It's a pity because a lot of the translators are the best I've ever worked with, the pay is good and the content is fun. Main issues: upper management uses overpsychologizing management style & communication is a hot mess. Decisions constanty change and strongly suggest upper management has no idea what translators actually do and need. To give an example, the newest pet project is enforcing a version of what they think agile development is that is so farcical and ill-suited to translation projects that it would be funny if I didn't work here. As a result, people come in all bright-eyed and bushytailed, full of good ideas and good energy, then after a couple of months realize what this place is really like and disappear into the background, or quit for a job elsewhere. TLDR: Turnover is insane, even in these pandemic times. That should tell you all you need to know. Good job if you simply don't care, do the (easy) work and collect your paycheck and benefits while working remotely. Just keep your head down and try not to care too much and you will be fine.
