As a marketer, you will have a lot of opportunity to learn about communities of all sizes, projects, and the industry overall. The department is structured in such a way where you can truly do work you're confident and passionate about. Work/life balance actually exists and isn't just a concept. There is room to grow with the company and the bonus, 401k contributions, and ESOP structure is generous! PTO allowance is fair, and VTO hours allow you to give back to your community in a meaningful way. Great healthcare benefits, too.

Cons

People outside of the marketing team have been known not to respect workload boundaries or your expertise as a marketer. Constantly needing to reiterate or argue processes can be tiresome.

I've been at the company about a year and am still thoroughly enjoying my time. Everyone I work with is down to earth, intelligent, and helpful. I've learned so much so far and can't wait to learn more. The work life balance is pretty great too. Bolton and Menk is employee owned and I hope it remains that way.
