Pros

Good education funding up to 5000 a year full time. Earned vacations is pooled in with sick time. Health insurance available to both part time and full time employees. Self scheduling in some departments. Extra hourly money for weekends and evenings.

Cons

Continually short staffed. Continual cutbacks in supplies. More demands on staff for clinically based and driven patient care, with less time and supplies to provide care necessary.

Pros

Multiple areas of pharmacy practice including pediatrics, oncology, emergency medicine, medication reconciliation, etc. Friendly staff that is approachable and kind.

Cons

Management makes commitments to individual staff members that are not followed through. Many pharmacists' career paths are hindered as they are promised opportunities upon hire but never given them. Hours and overnight rotation are not desirable for the majority of pharmacists.
