Pros

It's sad when you can't even find one positive thing to say about a place where you work...

Cons

The staff are overworked and underpaid. Everything is about patient satisfaction and making money at the expense of the staff. Even with six-seven patients administration expects miracles and patients to be happy when you absolutely cannot tend to every patient in a timely manner with those nurse to patient ratios. Administration is clueless and managers are vindictive. I thought working for a catholic organization would mean people would have hearts and compassion, NOPE! God forbid an employee is sick or going through troubled times. You may as well talk to an empty wall because they do not want to hear it. You never hear anything positive about your work only the negative. Morale is at an all time low and staff is miserable, but who cares as long as patients are happy and the hospital is making money.

Pros

I have been here a few months, and I enjoy my job. The people are friendly and are huge about engagement and the Gallup impact plan. Lots of parties, free food and opportunity to advance your career here. I am also glad that they say a prayer at each meeting. I am pleased that I have finally found a job that I look forward to going to every day. Tuition reimbursement for student loans is great. My job says I'm essential but I get out for snow days all the time :)

Cons

The computers are slow as molasses, and we are still using Ibm laptops in Windows 7 and using internet explorer 9. Most of the Bon secours functions are incompatible with apple products and browsers like chrome, Firefox and Safari. Note to applicants: do not call HR to check on your application status. They're not going to tell you. Why would you call them anyway? Salary ranges are so secretive here and it looks like based on previous reviews here you can't negotiate if you get an offer. They check your credit when you apply and references so be aware of that. Benefits are expensive and cost more for part time employees. Attendance policy sucks and is draconian. People are afraid to call out sick because of the fear of getting too many occurrences. You can get an occurrence for leaving work early to take care of a sick loved one. They don't care.
