      Pros

      Booz Allen is a good place to begin a career and to grow your areas of interest by being involved in Communities of Practice. Hello.bah.com is a fantastic internal resource to connect with BAH staff internally that have the same interests that you do. It is a great resource to find who you can potentially partner with on reachback support, for a mentor, or to network.

      Cons

      The Organization and Strategy Strategic Communication DHS market team leadership does not reach out to their administrative team members. Further, they do not assist their team members with developing careers or moving to different projects. Leadership seems to be leading themselves in this market as opposed to their staff.

      Pros

      Most individuals I have met at the company are great to work with. There have been a few bad apples that are protected by the company, and the management is definitely a good old boy network.

      Cons

      Not working in the DC area is a definite drawback -- most training opportunities and projects are only in the DC area, so the rest of this can struggle to find relevant work. Training is hard to come by for technical types (2500 won't pay for many of my training needs and that doesn't count travel!) If you want to stay technical, this is not the place for you -- you MUST market and sell business and manage staff to get promoted.
