      Great place to work, if not a little behind the times

      Pros

      Fun place to work. With enough drive even a low level employee can be involved in a lot of higher level decisions. Housing allowance for interns as well as pay commiserate with similar positions in other industries.

      Cons

      Overall behind the times. Still using a lot of manual workload instead of leveraging technology to automate many of the menial positions. Adverse to change, require a lot of politics to get anything done. Overall slow to improve.

      Pros

      Borg Warner pays well and has good health benefits

      Cons

      People that have actual knowledge and do the work don't get credit and have no advancement opportunities. People that play office politics and point fingers are the ones that get promoted. There is no real business plan other than re-organize and have layoffs every 6 to 9 months.

      Pros

      One of the few automotive suppliers with direction in the industry. With a state of the art facility, the Auburn Hills PTC is modeled after european stylings(No offices, open cubes, coffe bars, glass conference rooms, etc). With a fully featured cafeteria, a regular employee is treated to food facilities right on campus, or a number of outside restaurants well within the BW area. Flexible work hours, as long as the work gets done, management doesn't hound you about what time you clock in/out.

      Cons

      Low compensation compared to other companies. Limited room to grow within your profession. BorgWarner is an automotive supplier providing products and services to a dying industry. Obviously, if you work at BW, job security will be a very big concern.
