Pros

Kids are amazing, fellow RBT staff is supportive and fun.

Cons

Unfair pay gaps, poor management on floor and HR level. No breaks, expected to work straight through the day like a robot. Zero trainings, PD. Sick kids are rarely sent home, parents dictate everything and the requests for special treatment just increase. Work place bullying has been witnessed on several occasions and when brought to management it has been tolerated (oh wait it was management doing it) One BCBA in particular has a varied past and probably shouldn’t be working with children, after several complaints from parents and staff and being fired from her old job, she is still employed at BBLC. No supplies to do daily job (gloves, paper towels, hand soap) Bonuses that do not exist. Stuck inside building all day.

We are sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience working at BBLC. We are not aware that supplies are not furnished at the location in which you worked, however, as the supplies you noted are ordered frequently. Additionally, we try to maintain an open door policy where staff can communicate their concerns or grievances to their supervisors, HR or the Executive Officer. If you would like to reach out directly to us, we welcome and encourage it. We will look into your claims and wish you the best in your future employment. Thank you for your feedback and for the time you dedicated to our clients and their families.

We agree that COVID times were challenging, but I sincerely thank you for getting up each day and coming into our centers to deliver services to clients and families who knew that autism was a greater threat to their child's future than COVID would ever be. Many schools were shut down or only partially open and our clients desperately needed ABA services. THANK YOU AGAIN for your time with us.

Thanks so much for this feedback. We acknowledge the challenge you described and have made updates within HR, implemented new procedures, and worked with our payroll partner and fixed the errors regarding accrued PTO within our payroll system. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I don't know how long you were with BBLC, but we do send out staff surveys annually to gain employee feedback and identify ways to improve. Thank you for your time with us.
