Pros

* Great mission * Good location * Huge help with commuter services * Prestigious until you look under the hood.

Cons

* Huge egos - don't disagree with managers or you'll be in the dog house. * Very poor communication within and between departments. * Lots of politics. * Personal feelings get in the way of getting the job done.

Pros

- can see the results of your work easily - shuttle service is convenient - benefits are ok

Cons

When I worked there, it seemed promising at first, but the better I got at my job, the more responsibilities I was "given" (aka pressured into) absorbing without any financial or job title change. Everyone had the same job title, but different level of responsibilities. Management took everything personally and would be quick to punish and slow to reward. Example, I made a complaint about having my desk moved after coming back from vacation without any warning. After that, I did not have my annual review or my annual raise until 6 months after its due date. If there was any reward, it would be faux rewards. For example, if we were rewarded, we would be given a star (literally a paper star) of recognition and we could tape it up on the wall instead of actual acknowledgement or any financial reward or a discussion of how we can advance. Management also gave out financial benefits to family members or friends that worked under them OR they simply did not care. Management also likes to throw people under the bus, especially entry level staff. If doctors had any complaints, management would be quick to say, "Oh it's the admins fault, we'll address it," and then would never tell us the issue, which caused tension between providers and their staff. The turnover was so high, within the 3 years I worked there we lost 8 full-time staff members and hired 3 and the 3 that we hired ended up doing work that was different from the 8 staff members that left so that the leftover staff had to absorb the work. Honestly the worst place I worked for and I worked as a host in a dead-end restaurant during high school.

Incredibly Disappointing.

Pros

Great benefits, incredible mission. I've had the chance to make some life long friends.

Cons

Upper management at the Trust is incredibly deceitful. In the span of less than three years, I have been bounced around from team to team without being given any choice in the matter. I have been withheld opportunities to grow and to show the skill sets that I've worked so hard to achieve and I'm never given the chance to express my own opinions or hopes for the future because of the level of my position. The management style on the Planned Giving team is incredibly toxic and has often forced me to leave work stressed and upset. In the span of less than a year, we lost 3 people due to this. The managers are extremely gossipy and have often put me in awkward situations where they've spoken badly about other colleagues and have wanted me to jump in on their "fun." Their behavior is petty, mean and downright unprofessional. They also constantly leave me out of conversations and projects and then turn the blame right to the team and I when something isn't done. Their communication with myself and the rest of the team is completely non existent and their style of handling situations is basically to make you feel like you're a complete screw up.
