Almost every team is understaffed and in general people work hard and then burn out. Not enough done in middle management to help reduce burnout. Hardly any real innovation happening. Most changes are reactive to competitors. Due to small team sizes there's a lot of middle management and very little career opportunity outside of North America.

Sometimes timezone differences can cause difficulty interacting with the whole organisation.
