Pros

Friendly associates and team work from associates , good manager and one ASM

Cons

Problems with hours , getting screamed at for loyalty, from managers and customers cursing at employees for asking , getting yelled at for finding damaged or stolen property, getting hours canceled last minute , loyalty pushing I hate it , creepy ASM getting no repercussions for screaming and following employee around the store making them uncomfortable , terrible terrible pay too little hours , problem ASM constantly misgenders and mispronounces names after being constantly corrected

Pros

15 minute breaks are nice and give you get a solid amount of time to recharge. There are a variety of different jobs for each position so you won’t always be doing the same thing each time. I also just think it’s fun to work in an environment that sells things you like, so if you’re into geek culture you’ll probably have fun.

Cons

Your hours are based on someone’s willingness to join the loyalty program. This is especially bad during holidays since most people coming in are just buying gifts for someone else and have zero interest in loyalty. Another issue is the fact that there is zero real incentive to work here as the “benefits” in both pay and other offerings compared to companies like In N Out. There is also a competition culture that’s enforced among employees in terms of sales, customer connections, and loyalty. You’re not really a team at BoxLunch, you’re in a competition for hours and positive reinforcement.
