      Good coworkers, somewhat flexible schedule

      Cons

      Brewer laid off a bunch of its workforce at the end of September and is now hiring interns in place of those positions. They are on the hunt for cheap labor, while not caring about the full time employees that they cut. Interns beware, as they have been known to give full time work loads and keep interns as interns even after they graduate, just to keep their pay low.

      Pros

      At one time, BSI had many intelligent and competent scientists and was active in university and industry collaborations.

      Cons

      The owner, his wife and son are eccentric and often run the company more as a social experiment than as a viable company. The most intelligent and motivated employees have left the company because they were 'too motivated'. For the scientists and engineers who were directly for BSI or as a contractor, BSI has chosen to be aggressive with them such that they are willing to use their lawyers to sue them to gain a business advantage. A company who signs a contract or agreement needs to make good on it. BSI has a history of not being good on their word. They should be much bigger than their current revenue. Their lack of business competence is obvious from the inside.

      1. Slow paced 2. No salary raise 3. Favoritism 4. Even they have no clue what they are doing, they share company wide achievements of saving even 500$
