Pros

Overall it is a supportive and welcoming environment that prioritizes it’s clients health as well as its employees. As an RBT the work is simple, and you are fairly compensated. Benefits are great.

Cons

As a group lead you are held to a standard of productivity which is difficult to maintain because of lesson planning time. The exception to this rule is the driving compensation, which covers about half of the gas I use for work. I also have a fuel efficient car.

Fun, active, fast paced, adventurous (summer), rewarding

Cons

Exhausting, frustrating, annoying, not appreciated (ironically enough, the same principles of treatment given to the clientele is not given to the staff, I.E. reinforcement, compliments on hard work, acknowledgment of tasks, etc. Absolutely zero empathy. CEO (or whatever her title) told employee's expressing their concerns to leave if they didn't like the policies. Very unprofessional)).

Got to work with some amazing kids on the autism spectrum.

Cons

Shifts could get canceled last minute, sometimes with no notification in time for you to know not to show up to a clients home. An exclusive “in” group in the center and a lot of feeling very lost as you learn.
