Pros

I love this company. The mission of the company is aligned with my personal values. I am surrounded by people who believe in our values and who work hard to bring better produce to the market. We are working hard and making a difference. I trust my colleagues and our investors. We are improving the businesses of our retailer customers, lifting their category sales and helping them capture and retain more attractive consumers. We have successfully nailed a better model. Better products, better profits, better outcomes for our retailers, better environmental footprint. And now we are scaling that model into a national footprint. This is the pinnacle of my career. And I'm eating super healthy. I feel lucky.

Cons

We work hard. We are flexible. We are respectful. We empower our people. But we are doing hard and good work without delay. Gotta be ready for that.

Pros

You get to work for a company that is truly changing the way the world eats. The company is rapidly growing and there are tons of exciting things happening. Overall, the management is extremely good and the culture of the company is phenomenal. Most people care and look out for each other.

Cons

Not necessarily cons: This isn't the right company for you if you want a ton of structure and direction. Decisions are pushed down as far as possible, which means you're empowered to take control and make decisions without going through bureaucratic hurdles. While that is a good thing in many ways, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed at times. You have to be entrepreneurial, savvy and creative - truly a startup culture.

Pros

I loved my time at BrightFarms! It was amazing to work in such a dynamic and growing business environment. Everyone on the business development team that I worked with was super helpful and energetic. Although I am not going to work there next summer, it is definitely an environment that I would want to be around in the future, and I would 100% recommend that anyone interested in BrightFarms pursue a career there.

Cons

I think future internships would benefit from a little more structure. That being said, the freedom of the internship allowed me to work on projects that I was passionate about.
