Great company, great culture

Pros

Great culture to work in and be a part of. They care about their people and their customers, going to great lengths to treat everyone well. For employees, that comes in the form of pay and benefits, but also in the form of meaningful work, large responsibility at all levels, and the opportunity for upward mobility. Company is growing fast and seeks to promote from within whenever possible. The products we produce are something you can be proud to serve to your family and friends, non-GMO and pesticide free. Great use of technology, open to new ideas, and always seeking continuous improvement. In summary, work with great people, be part of a great mission, and have the opportunity for career growth. This is a dedicated group of people that you don't easily find in the working world.

Cons

Plants are always growing and they require care and attention. That can make for long days and weeks, but you can control that through good management of people and processes.

Pros

The company actually lives by its values and beliefs. They are more than fair and understanding to their employees, supportive of communities, great to the customers and consumers, and proactively work towards a more sustainable environment. It is a new and coming company so there is a lot of learning and growth which is great for those just starting their career.

Cons

I honestly don’t have anything bad to say about working for BrightFarms. The work I do can be high stakes at times which can be stressful but stress is good, it means you care about what you do.

Pros

Growing fresh, healthy vegetables and seeing it the stores nearby. Effort in work produces direct results that are measured and rewarded. Everyone gets to wear many hats and stays motivated. Brightfarms treats their employees well.

Cons

The job is not for everyone; you have to be really passionate about working hard and grinding through seasonal flux, bad weather, weekends, hot greenhouses.
