Pros

I loved the clients i worked with and a hand full of people that were there because they actually care and not just wanted a pay check

Cons

Management is unorganized, most are related to each other to help in cover ups, policies enforced only to benefit company and not employees, wage freeze for 7 years, low pay with bad benefits, have supervisors that steal from clients and cover it up, have very high turn overs, train you to be advocate for clients but when you speak up your a trouble maker, out dated paperwork and phone lists, sends state to same houses to avoid violations and state too ignorant to care, violate clients rights to refusal by making them go out on outings just because they get paid extra money to get them out in community, conflict of interest when people in office own the homes that are being rented to clients for extreme profits, some services such as lawn care and snow removal were provided by office personnel family members and not being done but charged outrageous prices, I wouldn't put my dog in this company so a human family member.. ..not on your life

Pros

I loved working with the Residents and many of the staff. I feel that I did learn quite a bit. I felt that ResCare was a far more prestigious operation but was disappointed.

Cons

As the title says, I was terminated after only 4 weeks. There was a lot of miscommunication as to who would be mentoring me. There was also a general feeling of not being welcome or needed at this facility. I spent much of my time trying to find someone to give me adequate information. I never expected anyone to hold my hand, but a little guidance would have been appreciated. When I was assigned, my mentor/preceptor was late for work every single day I was with her. There were others who were late as well. This was overlooked. I saw a lot of company policies and personal boundaries being crossed on a routine basis, yet no one seemed to notice or care.

only pro is ample PTO, and sometimes casual atmosphere, the coworkers are great

Cons

wage freeze since 2002 worst benefits ever arrogant clueless management no growth for anyone, ever
