Pros

There is a ton of opportunity working at ResCare, the new leadership that has come on within the last two years is driving a large amount of organizational change, and adopting new technologies and operating procedures. If you have a self-starting mentality and a little bit of entrepreneurial spirit, this is a great place to come and make an impact in a large organization.

Cons

At times there is a lack of established process, and not a defined way to operate within the organization. This could be deterring for people who prefer steadiness and consistency within their daily work.

Pros

Appleton area management and employees are hard working, respectful, and responsible.

Cons

Since taking over our buildings, Rescare has not made any attempt to transition from our previous company's documents, policies, etc. The facilities have been cited by the state of Wisconsin due to Rescare's negligence. One of the buildings has been without a washing machine over three weeks and counting because corporate has neglected to approve a new one. Office equipment (or lack there of), is terrible. Fax machines are broken in 2 of the 3 homes and upper management will not acknowledge of fix the issue. There is one chromebook for 3 of the homes to share, so many employees are unable to complete their computer work, then they are disciplined for not completing work. The pay and benefits are terrible. Management outside of the Appleton area is rude, at times extremely unprofessional, and blatantly ignorant. They treat the employees in the Appleton and surrounding areas with no respect or courtesy. Overall, this is a terrible company that was not prepared to care for the buildings they purchased.
