Stupid Rules:
100 Million dollar freezes: (you can only contact accounts that make over 100 million in revenue) , you have 1000 accounts and only 100 of them are over that. These freezes are present around 70% of the time
Distribution: You are assigned to one Account Executive at a time to book meetings for. Not only does this cause problems for getting a time on the calendar that works for prospect, it pretty much eliminates email sales. By the time you send over times, the prospect responds and those times are not available any more
Demo Length: Demos must be an hour, if prospect only has 40 minutes, cant see it
Pricing: Will not go lower than a very high price. Leaves SO many opportunities on table
You must build 10 new contacts into salesforce every day but this is very difficult given the small account lists
Upper Management:
Every meeting I have had with upper management has been two things. Enforcing rules listed above and congratulating top performers. That doesn't seem like a productive meeting to me. They also stand by poor pricing model and overly aggressive sales strategies which leads me to:
Overly Aggressive and Shady Sales Strategies: You call the same accounts every day. You call them 5 times a day. You spoof their own internal phone numbers. Everything is an exaggeration.
SDR Surveillance: They suggest that you keep your camera on the entire day while you are cold calling. How on earth is that going to help you perform well? Who wants to be stared at while they call?
