      The management (CEO) acts like dictator presiding over his minions while playing mind games.

      Pros

      Great camaraderie among the employees who are all against upper management

      Cons

      Pay is way below average. Everyone is miserable. There is at least one person crying a week. The women have it especially tough. You are pressured into working long hours or have your dedication to the company questioned. If you want to leave on time, you are automatically compared to other employees in public and shamed.

      CEO thinks anyone without a PhD is beneath him and treats his employees like slaves. The office is quiet without any eating allowed at desks and any sort of socializing is frowned upon. Most of the employees are foreign and are treated like children. The pay is far below market rate and I have no idea how he gets away with paying so little. In the interviews he tries to entice prospective employees with stock and has been saying that the company is going to be bought "very soon," yet is has not happened, and obviously will not happen any time soon because he doesn't let people do their jobs.

      Pros

      I was able to pick up basic SQL skills which transferred over to my next position. Unfortunately not mu ch else.

      Cons

      Actual work pace was glacial and there were often long periods of downtime. Learning other programming languages during this downtime was discouraged. Was lowballed for compensation but as a new-grad i didn't have much choice.
