A Place to Lead and Grow

Pros

Brighton Jones has been an incredibly meaningful place to grow my career. The Personal CFO philosophy isn’t just marketing, it genuinely shapes how we serve clients and how we support each other internally. The collaborative model is a huge differentiator. I’m surrounded by thoughtful specialists across planning, investments, and operations, which allows us as advisors to deliver top tier advice while constantly sharpening our own skills. Leadership is accessible and open to feedback, and there are real opportunities to step up and lead. I have been given meaningful opportunities to share my voice and perspectives in shaping the future of our office and client experience, and I have benefited from mentorship across the Alignment Team, many of whom are women and working mothers who model what strong, values-driven leadership can look like.

Cons

We’re a growing firm, which means change happens quickly. At times, new initiatives or evolving processes can create short-term growing pains and heavier workloads. That said, leadership is receptive and genuinely works to improve systems over time.

Pros

After leaving the nonprofit world, I was nervous about returning to the for‑profit sector. Finding my place at Brighton Jones has been an incredible relief and a genuine joy. This is a company that leads by example—every day we take meaningful action to give back and make a positive impact. I’m surrounded by supportive teammates, enjoy excellent benefits, and, most importantly, feel that my boundaries are respected. Brighton Jones encourages a healthy, fulfilling life outside of work, and that’s rare. It may sound too good to be true, but this really is a special company.

Cons

Not really a con—more a reflection of reality. We’re still growing, and growth brings change, which can be challenging. The company is expanding quickly and putting real effort into practicing good change management. We’re improving systems while scaling them, and that’s never simple. There will always be tough days anywhere you work, but the culture here makes those days manageable.

Great culture and WLB, mediocre compensation

Pros

Fun company to be at, a lot of effort goes into creating a strong and supportive culture. Good WLB, solid 9-4 type company.

Cons

Compensation is rigid and not competitive. The company is not set up well to handle non-financial advisor positions. If you are considering a role in marketing, ops, etc. (as opposed to revenue-generation), you will experience many pain points as brighton attempts to put you in their standard "box." This company does well with employees that join straight out of college and haven't experienced other employers, but not so much the other way around.
