Pros

The perfect balance between independent, remote work and collaboration with incredible likeminded colleagues. The people at Brightside genuinely care about the mission to bring quality mental health care to those who need it.

Cons

If you’re used to fully in person work, it can be a learning curve. However I don’t think I could ever go back to the office full time after the flexibility remote work has given me.

One of the best therapy roles I’ve had

Pros

What has stood out most to me about Brightside is the flexibility. I run my own private practice and wanted a part-time role that would supplement my work without adding stress or administrative overload. Brightside has fit that need extremely well. I’m able to maintain full control over my schedule, choose the hours that make sense for me, and integrate this work seamlessly alongside my private practice. The steady referral flow is a big plus. I don’t have to spend time on marketing. That time savings alone makes a noticeable difference in work-life balance. The platform is straightforward to use, documentation is efficient. I also appreciate that expectations are clear and that there’s no pressure to overbook or operate in a high-volume model. It feels designed for clinicians who value autonomy and sustainability. For part-time work, it’s been one of the easiest ways to add reliable income without sacrificing independence.

Cons

Compensation is slightly lower than what I can make independently through insurance in my private practice, but I expected that. The tradeoff feels reasonable. When you factor in the time saved by not dealing with billing, claims, etc the pay difference is much smaller than it looks on paper

Pros

Consistent referrals, competitive flat-rate pay, and excellent clinical support. The AI-assisted documentation is a huge time saver and makes note writing incredibly efficient. Scheduling is flexible, the clients are great, and leadership seems to genuine value clinician feedback. Overall, it’s easy to focus on providing quality care without unnecessary administrative burden.

Cons

Occasional platform glitches. Intakes are shorter than ideal for complex cases
