Pro: working in one location

Cons

Brightview... how can I put into words how this corporate company treats employees and their residents. Let’s just sum it up saying it’s corporate. Like anything else they only care about getting money. They don’t assess residents for the right care, they don’t listen to their aides when they are on the verge of a burnout because work loads are getting heavy due to residents health are declining and needing more attention. Things go unnoticed for them. Aides will get heavy work load that run around like crazy and can’t be in two places at once but for a company they tell everyone they can have anything they want when they want. So aides run around like chickens with their heads cut off barely get a chance to run to the bathroom before pendants are going off. Brightview doesn’t respect their workers, especially the ones who work hard and spend time with the residents the most: the aides. Aides have to constantly apologize to residents for being late to answering their pendants because there isn’t enough help on the floor and co workers don’t always want to work with one another. Poor residents who need help constantly have to wait sometimes for help because there’s no help because they are short handed.

Brightview Senior Living Response

We are very disheartened to read this feedback and we'd love an opportunity to listen. We absolutely know how vital our resident aides are to the success of Brightview Senior Living. We have a very robust Wellness Program for residents and our associates. We offer a training course through Brightview University called, "Care for the Caregiver" because we truly believe our aides need to think about their needs as well. We'd love for you to call our home office at (410) 962.0595 and speak to the Director of Employee Relations. We can assure confidentialty and your concerns will be heard.
