      Pros

      Working at Brightview was a great experience. It was only a part-time job for me, but since I'm interested in the field of elder care as a long-term career for me, I was able to work shifts in many departments. There is continuous training and room for growth. The team I worked with was also phenomenal!

      Cons

      I sometimes thought that PTO was difficult to use. It really depended on your department director. Some people are obviously only there for the paycheck, which is unfortunate when your job directly affects the quality of someone's LIFE! Rant aside, it was still a great company.

      Nice first job for high school students

      Pros

      Flexible scheduling Residents tend to be very nice and a joy to converse with for just about anything Various community parties and activities throughout the year Straight-forward dining server job

      Cons

      Although raises tend to be based on performance ratings, the dining department's budget doesn't allow for decent yearly raises for servers (some instances of servers getting $0.03 raises year over year) Since a majority of servers are high school students, immaturity levels may irritate those that are older by comparison (i.e. people are always calling out/switching shifts with others, work ethic is almost non-existent save for a few servers, etc.)

      Work with great people, great staff. residents are mostly very pleasant

      Cons

      the residents are very needy and want their food as soon as they sit down.
