Pros

There is a lot of appreciation for modern technology and developing quality products. Everyone I worked directly with was wonderful to work with.

Cons

Engineers are often hired and laid off at a moments notice, with no explanation. Lack of value in long tenure and building internal knowledge.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. As noted in our previous response, we are focused on ensuring continuity for our valued, high-performing team members on the technology team and across the company. Our sizeable technology team includes some of our longest tenured team members at Brightway. We recently made minor modifications to our technology roadmap which resulted in transitioning some of the capabilities required to achieve our long term goals. While we encourage the reapplication of skill sets wherever possible, we regret that these changes impacted a couple of our team members – a rare event that is occasionally unavoidable.

401k match is great. Remote

Cons

Culture lacks. Company cares about implementing AI and less about their people.

Thank you for your contributions to Brightway. We do offer a great 401k match (as part of a benefits package that also includes generous paid time off and paid holidays, comprehensive medical/dental/life/disability coverage, tuition reimbursement, and so much more) because we do care about our people. You are also correct that we have implemented (and will continue to implement) AI enhancements to our workflows because our team members have shared that AI provides meaningful administrative support and improves their productivity.

Pros

Remote work available across many states

Cons

Pay, culture, incentives/bonuses stripped away after company bought by shareholders who focus on profit, outsourcing and a drive for tech replacing live humans has driven company culture to the ground, everyone is stressed and not happy to be there it's an unpleasant environment. Pay is below industry standard, those who actively complain tend to get fired

Thank you for your perspective. Each year, while investing profit back into the company to ensure future growth and prosperity for all Brightway employees and agents, we also earmark a significant portion for bonuses, raises and incentives. Some of the reinvestment is most certainly applied toward advanced technology to better serve our agents and customers, and better support our employees on a daily basis. This is simply smart business in the 21st century. Lastly, our culture is one that supports problem identification accompanied by recommendations for smart solutions.
