      Finance Department Disaster

      The people. The managers who have been here and built the culture. Location. Benefits. 401k match. Career growth

      Cons

      What an unmitigated disaster the finance department is. It is the corporate equivalent to working for a dictator who manages through fear and has no regard for his associates. What a disappointment coming into this mess. It is truly disappointing how fast this has gone downhill. The biggest benefit of not having to travel to NY is completely eroded because of the stress and degrading treatment coming from the top. The culture is abysmal and the people keep it together.

      reverse commute, allowed employees to buy an additional week of vacation

      Cons

      Poor management style, they work the life out of most people, they encourage calls when on vacation, senior leadership doesn't lead, they did nothing about poor morale. Your performance doesn't matter.

      Nice co-workers, casual dress code, office location

      Cons

      Upper management does not treat employees very well. They are more concerned about cutting costs to make sure they get their bonuses. Virtually impossible to get a promotion. They would rather hire people with no experience, so they can pay them less, and let the experienced people go. Everyone is expendable.
